Ask a Question

Can I run a Powerline network across different mains rings?

Yes this is possible, the network is able to run across the different main rings. This is because the signal can run across the busbar,  which in the majority of UK homes the breaker connects all the rings and the network.

If the mains rings are isolated, for example, on different electrical phases then the separate Powerline networks can be linked together via a CAT5 cable
